Patna- Bodhgaya-Rajgir – Nalanda

Day 01 Arrive Patna onto Nalanda - Rajgir (approx 3hrs)

Arrive Patna airport and where you will be met and greeted and transferred to Nalanda by road. Arrive Nalanda and visit the famous Nalanda University, one of the oldest the universe. This is the university which has been visited by both Lord Buddha and Lord Mahavira. Next proceed to the Museum. Considered one the richest museums, it contains monuments associated with Gupta and Pala period. Also visit the Huen Tsang Memorial and the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall. Later proceed onto Rajgir.Arrive and check-in to your hotel.Overnight at the hotel

Day 02 Rajgir-Pawapuri-Rajgir
Today after breakfast, proceed on sightseeing tour of Rajgir. Rajgir as a place holds significant importance for Buddhists. The Gridhakuta hill over here was the seat from where Buddha delivered many of his sermons. Take the aerial ropeway up to the hill to visit “Shanti Stupa “.Next visit Bimbisara Jail where Buddhist Mauryan King Bimbisara spent his last days. Later, go on an excursion to Pawapuri. It was here that the greatest profounder of Jainism had given his last sermon, took Mahaparinirvana and was cremated here. See the beautiful temples of Jalmandir and Samosharan.Return to Rajgir.Overnight at the hotel

Day 03 In Rajgir onto Bodh Gaya (approx 2-3 hrs).

Today after breakfast proceed to the holy city of Bodh Gaya by road It was here, under the Bodhi tree, that Gautam Buddha ultimately got enlightenment. Next visit the UNESCO declared world Heritage site, the Mahabodhi temple where Buddha spent seven weeks after his enlightenment. Also see the Japanese Temple, Thai Monastery and Korean Temple.Overnight in Bodhgaya

Day 04 In Bodh Gaya onto Patna (approx 3hrs).
Today after breakfast, proceed to Patna by road. On the way visit Vishnupada temple where Hindus offer oblation for salvation of their dead parents and forefathers. It’s situated on the banks of river Falgu. Arrive Patna and check in Hotel.Visit Patna Museum and see the relic’s casket of Buddha, found in Vaishali during excavation. Also see the bronze images of Lord Buddha and Jaina Tirtchangaraja. Time permitting, visit Gaolghar, Patna Saheb, Kudha Bakhs Library and Ganga Setu.Return to your hotel.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Depart Patna for onwards journey.

Today after breakfast, transfer to the airport/Railway Station.
